Image Cropper
Crop photos to any aspect ratio with zoom and rotation.
About the Image Cropper
The Freemium.Tools image cropper trims a photo to a chosen aspect ratio such as 1:1, 4:5 or 16:9, with zoom and rotation, running entirely in your browser.
Cropping decides what a picture is about. A tighter frame removes distraction, and a fixed ratio makes sure the platform you are posting to does not crop it for you.
Choose a shape, zoom in, move the frame and rotate in 90-degree steps. The result is exported as a lossless PNG at full quality, with no upload and no watermark.
How to use it
- 1Add an image. Drop in a JPG, PNG or WebP photo.
- 2Pick a shape. Choose square, portrait, widescreen, story or a free crop.
- 3Frame it. Zoom in and move the crop box until the subject sits where you want it, rotating if needed.
- 4Crop and download. Press Crop image, then save the PNG.
Frequently asked questions
Does cropping reduce image quality?
No. Cropping only removes pixels around the edge; the pixels you keep are untouched and exported as a lossless PNG.
Which aspect ratio should I use?
Use 1:1 for profile pictures and grid posts, 4:5 for the tallest allowed feed post, 9:16 for stories and reels, and 16:9 for video thumbnails and slides.
Can I straighten a tilted photo?
You can rotate in 90-degree steps to fix orientation. Fine-angle straightening is not available yet.
Is the photo uploaded anywhere?
No. The crop happens in your browser tab and the file never leaves your device.
