About the Image Compressor
The Freemium.Tools image compressor reduces the file size of JPG, PNG and WebP images directly in your browser, with no upload to a server and no watermark.
Large photos slow down websites, bounce off email attachment limits and eat storage. Compression rewrites the image with smarter encoding so the file gets smaller while the picture still looks the same at normal viewing size.
Because the work happens inside your browser tab, your images are never uploaded, never stored and never seen by anyone else. That also makes it fast: there is no upload wait and no download queue.
How to use it

Frequently asked questions
Does compressing an image reduce its quality?
JPG and WebP compression is lossy, so some detail is discarded, but at 70-80% quality the difference is invisible on screen for most photos. Lower the quality further only when file size matters more than fine detail.
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. The compressor runs entirely in your browser using the Canvas API, so the image data never leaves your device and nothing is stored on a server.
How much smaller will my file get?
Typical photos shrink by 60-85% at 75% quality. Screenshots and flat graphics compress less because they already contain large areas of uniform colour.
