Frequently asked questions
How do I convert HEX to RGB?
Each pair of hex digits is one channel read as a number from 0 to 255, so #2563EB is rgb(37, 99, 235). Paste the HEX above and the RGB value appears instantly.
What contrast ratio do I need for accessibility?
WCAG AA requires 4.5:1 for normal body text and 3:1 for large text. AAA asks for 7:1. The tool shows the ratio against both white and black.
Why does CMYK look different from my screen colour?
CMYK is a print model with a smaller gamut than screen RGB, so vivid screen colours have no exact ink equivalent. Treat the CMYK values as a starting point and proof before printing.
What is HSL useful for?
HSL separates hue, saturation and lightness, which makes it easy to build consistent tints and shades by changing only the lightness.
