URL Parser
Break any web address into protocol, host, path, query parameters and fragment.
Runs entirely in your browser — nothing is uploaded.
About the URL Parser
The Freemium.Tools URL parser breaks any web address into its protocol, host, port, path, query parameters and fragment, decoding each value, entirely in your browser.
Long tracking URLs hide what they actually carry. Splitting an address into labelled parts shows which campaign tags, session IDs and redirect targets are being passed along — useful when debugging analytics or auditing a link before you share it.
Every query parameter is listed separately and URL-decoded, so escaped characters read as normal text rather than percent codes.
How to use it
- 1Paste the address. Any http or https link, including long tracking URLs.
- 2Read the breakdown. Protocol, host, path steps, query parameters and fragment are listed separately.
- 3Copy what you need. Copy the full breakdown for a bug report or a colleague.
Frequently asked questions
Does it follow redirects?
No. The address is parsed exactly as written, with no network request, which is why it stays completely private.
Are the parameters decoded?
Yes. Percent-encoded values are decoded, so %20 shows as a space and encoded URLs inside parameters become readable.
What if my link has no protocol?
If you omit http:// or https://, https is assumed so the address still parses.
Can it handle duplicate parameters?
Yes. Repeated keys are listed once per occurrence rather than being collapsed, because servers treat them differently.
Is anything logged?
No. The parsing happens in your browser and the address is never sent anywhere.
