About the Random Picker

The Freemium.Tools random picker draws fair winners from a list of names or generates secure random numbers, using your device's cryptographic random generator rather than a predictable shuffle.

Giveaways, class activities, standup rotations and raffles all need a draw people will accept as fair, and a hand-written pick invites doubt.

Paste your entries one per line, choose how many winners and whether the same entry can win twice, then draw. Number mode does the same for a numeric range, which is handy for raffle tickets and seat allocation.

How to use it

  1. 1Add your entries. Paste names, handles or ticket numbers, one per line — or switch to number mode and set a range.
  2. 2Set how many winners. Choose the count and whether repeats are allowed.
  3. 3Draw. Winners appear in order and can be copied for your announcement.

Frequently asked questions

Is the draw genuinely random?

Yes. It uses your browser's cryptographic random generator with rejection sampling, so every entry has an equal chance and results cannot be predicted or reproduced.

Can the same person win twice?

Only if you turn off "No repeats". With it on, each entry is removed from the pool once drawn.

How many entries can I paste?

Thousands. The list is processed in your browser, so the practical limit is what you can comfortably paste in.

Is it acceptable for a public giveaway?

Yes, and recording the draw on screen is the usual way to evidence it. The tool never sends your entrant list anywhere.
